We spoke about doing but never did

  • Always covering homework

  • Reading of each other’s work, hearing your work done in other voices

  • Performance  - this becomes more important as we are doing the July evening performance (see below)

  • Vocabulary exercises – we did one on 22 Jan (I for one would like more – words are the tools of a writer so its important to understand words and how to work with them, to use them effectively)

  • Run a Group competition – Generally, remember PrizeMagic

  • A visit to Writer’s Centre, Dragon Hall, Norwich – Tom was to organise this

Reminders - We should all have had our submissions into Wally for the evening performance of our work as per last month’s email, reproduced here, alongwith other ongoing activities, to enable Nikki to catch up with what is going on

Evening performance to be held in Library 7:30pm on 4th July – put the date in your diaries!

    • Wally - silverscouse@hotmail.co.uk   - is coordinating this and will finalise the programme from our timed contributions (see below)

    • Library will print programme and tickets. These will sell for 5GBP, all funds going to the Library. Tickets will warn of ADULT Content if final content requires this

    • Flash fiction, short stories, poetry, 10 min play, and extracts from longer pieces are all appropriate contributions

    • The programme will most likely be 2 x 45 min sessions e.g. 10 min plays, 10 mins for short stories / 1 or more pieces of flash fiction, 10 mins poetry for 1 or more poems, 10 mins for an extract from a longer piece of work

    • Poets may give a very short explanation to their poems, extracts may also need some contextualisation Both need to be within their allotted and measured  time

    • Prepare the work you want to present and most importantly TIME it! You will be reading/performing it on the night – so TIME it!

    • Send timed contributions  to Wally - Deadline is April 16th 10:00AM! This will not be extended.
